About Calvary Chapel SouthburyCalvary Chapel Southbury began as a home church with only a few people in 1998. In our subsequent years of ministry, our congregation has grown significantly. The church now occupies four storefront buildings in Bennett Square on Main Street in Southbury, CT, and the sanctuary has been remodeled and expanded to accommodate our growing church family. Calvary Chapel Southbury is a Non-Denominational, Evangelical, Christian church devoted to knowing Jesus and walking with Him. Consequently, we place our emphasis upon the teaching of God's Word, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. We are the place of worship for people from the following areas: Southbury, Newtown, Brookfield, New Milford, Danbury, Bethel, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Watertown, Bethlehem, Torrington, Goshen, Harwinton, Litchfield, Warren, Oxford, Seymour, Roxbury, Middlebury, and all of the surrounding towns and cities. Because we wish to extend God's loving hand beyond our congregation both locally and globally, we offer many opportunities to serve, support, encourage, and reach out to others through ministry. Some of our local ministries include Children's Ministries, Teen Youth Group, Community Growth Groups, Loaves and Fishes Hospitality House, Sewing Circle of Love Ministry, Weekly Bible Study, and Recovery Ministry. Calvary Chapel Southbury has also spearheaded Epicenter Solutions to help the victims of the deadly food crisis, as well as the HIV/AIDS and malaria pandemics in Malawi and Mozambique. Current projects include providing sterilization for clean water, opening clinics, farming, boreholes, One Village At a Time, Pastoral Leadership Training, and Bibles for Pastors. We are affiliated with Calvary Chapel Churches and share their belief that:
