Calvary Fellowship's Children's Ministry

Calvary’s Children’s Ministry is committed to preparing children for a faith- based life. Our goal is to provide children, ranging from infants to teens, with an experience of Jesus’ love in a nurturing, friendly, and safe environment.

Calvary’s Children’s Ministry includes:

Nursery (Infant to age 3)

Calvary’s nursery provides care for our babies and toddlers during Sunday worship service at 10:00 a.m. This ministry allows parents to participate in worship knowing that their children are in the loving care of our dedicated volunteers. Our purpose is to nurture each child during their stay and to share the greatness of God's love for them.

 

Preschool (Ages 4 and 5)

Calvary’s preschool offers age appropriate Bible teaching mixed with a whole lot of fun. Children are never too young to begin to learn God’s Word. We emphasize Jesus' love through Bible lessons, songs, arts & crafts, and activities.

Children’s Ministry (Class 1: 6- to 8-year old; Class 2: 9- to 12-year old)

The Children's ministry is dedicated to teaching children about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Sprit through Bible-based teaching and scripture with the curriculum supplemented by Faith Weavers http://www.faithweaver.com.

 

The curriculum provides a key point message for each week such as faith, forgiveness, and obedience. It is tailored to the appropriate age group and highly structured. The lessons consist of scripture stories, scripture reading, question & answers, praying, posters, singing, dramatization, and arts & crafts.

In addition to the curriculum, the Children’s Ministry also focuses on the individual child. Every child is important and needs to feel important. This is accomplished by encouraging participation, knowing each child's name, age, and family members as well as providing special attention and prayer as required.

 

 

Teen Youth Group (Ages 12 to 18)

The vision for the Teen Youth Group is to encourage teens to seek the Lord Jesus Christ and have a personal relationship with Him. Meetings include bible study, fun, refreshments, and an opportunity to make a difference in your community. The class meets Thursday evenings from 7:00 P.M. to 8:15 P.M.Teens are encouraged to meet in the main sanctuary along with their parents during Sunday service.
