Sunday, Dec. 4: “The Burden of
Greed”
It has almost become a virtue in America today, so much so that
is has overtaken Christmas as well. How do we stop it?
Sunday, Dec. 11: “Celebrate Christmas”
From the heavy message of ‘ the burden
of greed’ we now move into celebration. Celebration can only
come after release. The Dec 11th message will move around what
Christmas is like now to what it can be. We will take some of
our cues from the events around Jesus’s birth to see celebration
that is birthed from true joy.
Sunday, Dec. 18: “The 1%”
In our society, the top 1% are the people
who are viewed as having all of the power, at the expense of
the remaining 99%, who are struggling just to survive. Was it
any different in the world when God sent His Son into it? God’s
great love sent His Son into this world for all the world to
be impacted; but what was the response of the people? We can
look at the 99% in our day but in God’s eyes who are the 99%
and who are the 1%? We will explore the scene of the Babe in
the manger and the events around it. God’s view of how justice
and equity are brought to people might just surprise us.
Sunday, Dec. 25: “The HOPE”
There is hope. We only need to accept the gift that God has offered
to us.
We will also have a special Christmas Eve service on Saturday,
December 24 at 6:30 PM.
