Offering Christian Ministry Opportunities
for People of all Ages
Calvary Chapel Church of Southbury is devoted to the teaching
of God's Word, worship, fellowship, the breaking of bread and
prayer. God's Word calls us to minister to each other, so we offer
many opportunities to serve, support, encourage and reach out
to others through ministry. The following is a list of some of
our ministries:
Children's Ministries
The Children's Ministry offers Sunday School with age-appropriate
teaching of God's Word through Bible reading, activities, crafts
and games.
Teen Ministry
Our Teen Ministry strives to meet kids wherever they are so they
can meet Jesus. We aim to minister to teens of all ages
through relevant teaching and discipling.
Community Growth Groups
We believe that the best place for sustained spiritual growth
to happen is in small group environments where people are studying
the Word of God together, praying and caring for each other, and
discussing the issues and challenges of life.
Men's Ministry
The Men's Ministry meets for Breakfast and Bible Study once a
month, the last Saturday of the Month, in the Teen Center below
and behind the church. Bring your appetite, and a Bible.
Recovery Ministry
The Recovery Ministry is an addiction ministry designed to help
people recover from alcohol/drug abuse or other addictive behaviors.
Bring your Bible and your faith so you can be cleansed by the
Word.
Hospitality Ministry
Reaching out to those Jesus loves through warm hospitality
Sewing Circle
of Love Ministry
This ministry reaches out to the orphans in Malawi by
making them much needed clothing that they would otherwise go
without. Twice a month, on the second and fourth Saturday, our
own Calvary Chapel Southbury Sewing Club meets.
Loaves and
Fishes Soup Kitchen
On the second Saturday of every month, folks from Calvary Chapel
Southbury volunteer time at Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen in
New Milford, CT. Join us!
Worship Ministry
While we believe we should worship the LORD with our whole body,
soul mind and spirit, we also need to worship Him in song.
Prison Ministry
Our Prison Ministry goes out to the NY state prison system once
a week on details to minister to the prisoners.
