Sewing Circle of Love Ministry
A Sewing Club & Ministry of Calvary Chapel Southbury CT
Serving the Orphans of Africa
Are you curious about the “Circle of
Love” Ministry? This is our Sewing Ministry, which meets at 10AM
every second Saturday of the month in the two classrooms at the
entrance of the Church.
Following Jesus’ directive to care for Orphans and Widows (James
2:7), this ministry enjoys making clothes for the children and "aged”
of Malawi, who have so few material things. It began with a generous
donation of fabric, and by God’s grace, fabric donations have continued
– the labor of love by experienced and (mostly) inexperienced women
has been producing dresses and shorts for our sisters and brothers
in Africa for the past two years.
If you have a willing heart and a willing pair of hands, come
join us. The Circle of Love Sewing Group invites all skill levels
-- even if you think you have none – as there are plenty of tasks
to be shared. We teach and learn, have fellowship and laughs, and
enjoy a blessed time knowing we are doing Jesus’ will. It is a rewarding
and fruitful time and good opportunity to meet and fellowship in
a small group. And, if that’s not enough, there are snacks!
